Manchester city knocked out of carabao cup

Manchester City have been eliminated out of Carabao Cup as Southampton amazingly crushed the Cityzens 2-0 at St. Mary’s Arena on Wednesday night.

In a disappointing performance, City had no shot on target in spite of having 73% possession, a bigger number of passes than Southampton.

Additionally top footballers like Kevin deBruyne, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden among others all featured in the match and couldn’t collect a success for the pep Guardiola-led side.

Southampton’s Sekou Mara and Moussa Djenepo scored the two goals of the match in the 23rd and 28th minutes separately.

Southampton had four shots on target two of which arrived at the back of the net. They journey past City to get a spot in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
