Raheem: court detains killer till January 30

As the interest for equity for the killed pregnant legal counsel, Bolanle Raheem, elevates, the court has remanded the suspected killer police, ASP Drambi Vandi, at the Ikoyi jail, Lagos State till January 30, 2023.
The representative for the Lagos State Police command, Benjamin Hundeyin, spread the word about this in a tweet on Friday, expressing that the choice was taken after Vandi was summoned for pulling the trigger that took Raheem’s life on Christmas Day in the Ajah area of Lagos State.
Hundeyin added that the request was to offer space for the guidance of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions. The Police Public Relations Officer tweeted, “Drambi Vandi was, this morning, arraigned in court and has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre till January 30, 2023 to give room for DPP advice.”
This comes a day after Police Administration Commission supported Vandi’s prompt suspension.
The representative for the PSC, Ikechukwu Ani, affirmed the improvement in a proclamation after the inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, suggested that Vandi be suspended for his activities. Ani said, “The commission, in a letter to the Inspector-General of Police signed by the acting chairperson, Clara Ogunbiyi, stated that the commission has carefully examined the facts of the case, observations and recommendation with respect to allegations against the officer and granted approval for the suspension of the officer from duty with immediate effect.” The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, said there would be no concealment in the examination and arraignment of the guilty party.
